BW HD&LD vermiculite bricks are excellently applied in metallurgy industry, especially in Aluminum Electrolytic plant and molten steel ladle. In Aluminum electrolytic plant, it is more often using HD & LD vermiculite bricks together for lower energy consumption. The HD vermiculite bricks density 1200kgs/m3, can resistant 1200 C heating, and better insulation performance than the clay brick.
The LD vermiculite bricks density about 500 kgs/m3, can resistant 1000 C heating, with better insulation performance than HD vermiculite bricks and higher temperature resistant than the calcium silicate bricks. The combination of the applying makes it ideally transition for the refractory material and insulation material. Reduced the thickness of the refractory insulation layers and make it possible for longer and better service.
Key Features:
● Energy Saving
In steel ladle, the BW H vermiculite bricks can resist 1200 C heating, and the thermal conductivity is <0.26W/m.K, which greatly far lower than the energy-saving and heat-preservation requirements of the metallurgical industry.
● Small size and lightweight
½ thickness of the BW H vermiculite bricks can replace the traditional lightweight clay brick, increased the using volume and better insulation performance.
● Shorter construction period
Adopts direct pasting method, without anchoring needed, can shorten the construction period and save the project costs.
